Blumenthal Performing Arts
I always love visiting this venue. It is beautiful and Charlotte is very lucky to have it. The symphony is filled with extraordinary musicians and a conductor that is breathtakingly talented. I was lucky enough to visit here last night and hear the symphony preform An American In Paris. It was an honor to be there. Thank you Charlotte Symphony!
I bring my daughter to Blumenthal every December to see the Nutcracker. The Charlotte Ballet offers a beautiful performance that encourages us to keep our tradition going. The theater is very comfortable. We enjoy sitting in the mezzanine which offers great views of the stage. The ushers have always been super and seem to be genuinely happy we are there... seems like a small thing but definitely adds to the whole experience.
I love going to Blumenthal. They bring excellence in performance to the Charlotte area. Also, the women's restroom is run efficiently and effectively to move a great number of people in a short amount of time during intermission. This is a significant accomplishment at a public venue.
There is truly not a bad seat in the house here. Parking is very reasonable ($5 in their approved decks - make sure you take your parking pass with you and pay inside the venue to get that rate). All the shows we have seen there have been outstanding. Photo is from Phatom Of The Opera.
One of our favorite theater and symphony venues in Charlotte. Everything runs smoothly due to the staff, especially during intermission. After a few shows, weve become familiar with the layout of the theater so were in and out in no time. Cant beat $5 parking, which is just a short walk away. Just beware the odd seat angle on the ends of row B in the balcony. The view is ok (not great), but it makes for awkward seating if youre there on a date (alternatively, great seat if youre catching a show solo).
