Best gym in town. Lots of classes, many spaces for different exercises, great sense of community and so family friendly. Love the adult changing rooms.

Haven't done much other than water aerobics, but love it and the other classes I walk by look always look fun. Lots of options for everyone!

I grew up at The J, it was like a 2nd home for me as a kid and teen. I visited there today, and omg has it changed (and I dont mean by adding new rooms and buildings). Its become a geriatric center. It should be renamed Jewish Community Center For Old Folks. Other than the pool (no diving board anymore), there doesnt appear to be any appeal to young folks. When a group of campers were passing through the lobby, they were hurled with shhhhh from multiple employees. The former play-room with arcade, TV, ping-pong, couches is long gone. The past few decades have obviously focused on the interests of the 60+ crowd. Its become as safe as Fort Knox with all the security, but extremely lame at the same time. Even the little library didnt have any learning toys for my kids to play with for a bit.

Love the J , was a member 7 years ago and was visiting the area from AZ , considering moving back.....but the facility reeks of chlorine from the indoor pool and there is a mold problem throughout the main building. Sorry.....I can not rejoin if moving back until these two issues are corrected. Suggest an environmental engineer locating the source of mold. Start with the HVAC systems....maybe install air scrubbers and sanitize the ventilation network. (from a previous commercial property manager)
