McColl Center for Art + Innovation
McColl Center for Art and Innovation is a visual arts residency program. Monthly programs, gallery shows, and the chance to meet visual artists in their studios is a delight, as is the building in which it is located, a former church that suffered a severe fire but which has been entirely restored on the outside and repurposed on the inside.
If you are a real art nerd you might give this four or five stars. I am just a casual art observer so it was not impressive to me. Most of the artists in residence were not there when we visited so there was very little see.
Went here for a training. This is a historic church that has been converted. The basement is great for conferences, staff development, and or small receptions. Bathrooms are accessible but I am not certain that wheelchairs are.
The artists weren't in-house when I was there, so no comment on that aspect. I was there for a corporate event that focused on creative thinking, and it was excellent.
We go here as a family on their open nights. The place is always so welcoming. We've had great experiences chatting with the artists. So many new perspectives for kids. We love it
