We were really looking forward to seeing Porgy & Bess, tonight, Tuesday, 01/24. Imagine our disappointment when Summertime, the opening song that 90% of us KNOW, was incomprehensible. As it turned out, almost ALL of the female voices were SO high that you could not understand the words. Not to mention the fact that the orchestra played over everyones voice but Porgy. We felt bad for the performers who undoubtedly worked hard preparing for the show. Someone, a Director, an Arranger, SOMEONE took this troupe down the wrong path.
