Stage Door Theater at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center
Beautiful venue. Great staff except for the ushers or the absence of the ushers. Went to a show last night. Had good seats in the front. They allowed everyone to come forward and STAND IN THE ISLES THE ENTIRE SHOW!! They wouldn't go back to their seats when I told them they were blocking my view. All I could think about was the fire in RI where no one could get out. They need to fix this asap!
Went to see Black Violin. Parking was easy. Place was nice. Wish they kept concessions open a little longer and made the seats a little larger. I had a slightly heavy and tall woman sitting beside me and I could tell she was uncomfortable and embarrassed. Please make some seats larger to accommodate heavier people. They should not have to be uncomfortable or embarrassed paying a pretty penny for a show.
Brilliant, absolutely stunning. Magnificent, I had the great pleasure of being able to see The nutcracker by Tchaikovsky; a real master piece and treasyre of humanity. The Arabian dance movement's performance (coffee) and Chinese dance movement were something beyond talent; I was literally crying with joy and enthusiasm by seeing such splendid Synchronization and coordination. Nutcracker is an opera that I listen almost daily; it is a personal favorite. Listening and watching a real staging is something that clearly differs from a recorded opera. Hence, the overwhelming passion and sentiment within my heart. 100/10
Just saw RENT. It was a great show. Volume of music overshadowed the performers, could have been better balanced. The staff was all super friendly and very helpful. It was very warm when the show started, but the air came on and cooled it off nicely.
Beautiful theater. Comfortable seating and from what I could see not really any seats with obstructed views. Ushers and staff are organized and truly pleasant. Great production too.
