Great local place to have for the kids. It's not a huge but it's big enough to entertain the kids for a few hours and it's well kept and clean. A few different things to do, its got a small outdoor farm with a few animals (goats, pig, big turkey, lama...) an planetarium with some interesting information of our solar system... gift shop, dinosaur, animal and rock museum. It's also very inexpensive.

The kids absolutely loved this place. Best money I've ever spent for an outing with the kiddos. The planetarium started the tour and the kids were amazed! Very interactive with even the youngest. There's tons of exhibits, the place just keeps on going and going. It honestly took the better part of 4 hours. Then the outdoor educational section with live animals. Pigs, goats, chickens, roosters, etc, etc. Even dinosaur fossils to check out. Many many live creatures in tanks as well. Owls, snakes, softshell turtles And a native American section that's very large in itself. We will definitely not hesitate to come back every time we pass through this area. Finally been satisfied with what we get for the cause when it comes to entertaining four kids ages 2,4,6, and 8. Absolutely had a great time as an adult too.

I grew up coming here. The exhibits and Planetarium will be fascinating for new visitors and children, but the nature trail is the main draw for me. While it'd be difficult to walk the trail with mobility issues (mostly due to some hills; it's graveled), it is short but beautiful. There's also a "farm" with goats, pigs, alpacas, chickens, and bunnies. Kids can see a gristmill and old country farmhouses, which are fun to explore. A trip can be very educational for both kids and adults. While the focus is primarily local natural history, you can walk through beautifully curated biomes depicting different parts of the US.

We went to see the baby farm animals and then went inside the museum. My 2 year old loved it! It truly is fun for the entire family!

Wonderful museum. The staff really cares for the animals and the farm has a cute farm cat that watches over the animals and members. Loved visiting this museum and will hope to come back again!
