Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre
Great venue. Extremely friendly staff. The lawn section was pretty tiny compared to other outdoor venues, but they allowed you to stand around the outer edge of the seats so you had options. Definitely splurge for the premium box seats and enjoy some elbow room.

Nice OUTDOOR concert center. Make sure you understand parking arrangements BEFORE you go. This was clear as mud to us. As it turned out, car-tag turned into proof of purchase. Ben Rector concert was terrific!!! Sound and Acoustics are great. Lighting is excellent..BUT your experience will be no better than the weather. Remember: Outdoor venue center!
The amphitheater is very nice and smaller than PNC which makes things much more intimate. This is very nice! However, the amphitheater delayed entry to our event by 2 hours, for a storm that never came. This is fine, I understand safety. However, they delayed entry by 2 hours but only delayed the actual show by 15 minutes. The line to get in was 3-4 miles long, at least. Most people missed the first and second act and some even missed some of the main act. I was very upset as I paid a lot of money for this show and missed part of it.
I waited in line for 30 minutes to enter the venue. The line line was long, but moved relatively quick. Venue staff was great. Bathrooms were clean. Weather was nice for August. The lawn seating was more cramped than other outdoor venues I've been to. I waited 30 minutes in line to exit the parking deck. Parking was about $20. Each parking spot has a unique code that you text. This is posted on the wall in front of the parking spot you chose (I've blurred the code on my picture). . . I would see a show here again!
I was pleased with the venue, but security was over the top. Ticket stubs were checked each time you left and returned to seat. This was my first time at this venue and first time attending a concert in NC. NOT my first Jack White concert though. The fans were rough and rowdy. Maybe there needs to be a drink limit? But physical venue was quite nice. It also seemed oversold.
