Visited in July and happy to find zero crowds. Maybe being from BOSTON we forget that summer isnt only 8 weeks long everywhere. Parking was $6. The visitor center was interesting and spacious. Lots of well marked and varied trails. Excellent staffing at the visitor center. Kayak rentals available with easy access in and out. Several covered areas with picnic tables and grills.

This is absolutely a great park. I will definitely take my family back here because they have almost everything you need to make a great part. The cookout areas with the grills are really nice and secluded back into the woods. It is only a short walk to the beach area for the kids to play after you eat. Restrooms are somewhat clean for a state park but overall I would definitely call this place a keeper. They have a nice beach area and a nice grilling area with picnic tables.

Best state park I've ever been to! Super clean, well maintained, nice staff. The lake is beautiful. Will be back if we are in the area again.

Only hiked one trail (hawk) on my first time and I loved it. I will absolutely be back again to do the rest of them. Very clean and looks like lots of different options for trails
