Ramsey Creek Park
Nice little beach, it's kinda small and gets pretty busy! Opens at 10am so get there early for a spot! No alcohol allowed, cops stay posted by entrance. This is a great park to go with little ones, because they put wrist bands on all kids, so no one can walk out with them. Very safe, clear water, has a pebbled bottom so water shoes would be a good idea.
Nice park with a nice beach. The bathrooms by the end of the day were really dirty. They need someone to clean these. We came because we rented a pontoon boat and it was brought here to launch. Loved our day on Lake Norman.
The park is nice. $5 for weekday parking for residents. (I've never been asked to show a license or proof of residency.) The water is very shallow, making it perfect for young kids but frustrating for anyone wanting to actually swim. If swimming with fish creeps you out, this is not the place for you. There is such a thick bed of rocks, it's painful to walk. Water shoes are recommended. No grilling or alcohol allowed, but coolers and umbrellas are.
Its disappointing. The place is nice. The swimming area is almost a joke. You cant swim anywhere else but in that small space. My siblings hated it. The places for grilling was clean. But not coming here to swim ever again.
Good park, nice view. Its well maintained park. They also arrange marriages here. Good for kids, there is a kid play area with swings, slides and roller coaster (small). Good for fishing and boating. There is a small artificial beach, its good for attract kids, they can swim easily. Nice place to take beautiful pictures.
