U.S. National Whitewater Center
The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) is dedicated to the promotion of the active, outdoor lifestyle. Since 2006, the USNWC has been promoting access to the outdoors for all levels of participants through its all-day pass programs, instruction, leadership school as well as festivals, races and other outdoor events. Whether you visit the Center’s 1,300 acres on the Catawba River or participate in the offsite programs featured throughout the United States, the USNWC wants you to play, relax and learn outside.
There are so many activities that you will want to come back again and again. Rock climbing, Stan up paddle boarding, flat water kayaking, of course white water rafting, mountain bike and running trails...and on top of that they have an amazing food and drink selection. I highly recommend this as an adventure outing, family day out, or a place to just have an awesome time.
There are so many fun activities to do here. There is whitewater rafting, mountain biking, zip lines, ropes courses, obstacle courses, rock climbing, trail running, and much more. You can spend several days here and still have more to do. The rafting is very fun and exhilarating. Mounting biking is fun with good trails. The ropes course vary in difficulty and are physically demanding. I recommend the all activity pass. If you don't rent bikes the trails are free. Very fun.

Love this place. Perfect place as a parent for my husband and I to get a date, have a beer/cider and allow our son to burn off extra energy. Everyone is friendly, staff is helpful and as a bonus, you can bring your in bike or scooter. Plenty of gluten free options as well for any other celiacs like me. They also carry drier ciders as well as kombucha.
No other place like in the world! This place is growing, expanding and improving at an incredible rate. The City of Charlotte and its people are VERY fortunate to have this facility here: world class whitewater, 30+ mtn biking and hiking trails, zip-lining, SUP, ropes course, bar and restaurant, rock climbing... it is an outdoor paradise. I love seeing people getting outside and being active and I love seeing all the dogs out there having a blast. Sure better then another mall or wine shop- we have more than enough of those. Keep up the phenomenal work USNWC and City of Charlotte!

Great place to go and the in the outdoors. Zip lining, trails are great. You can. Just pay for parking $5.00 and enjoy the trails. Or pay $60.00 per day and enjoy all the rides. It is a must go in the summer time. We went in November and the water rafting was close.
