Charlotte Regional Farmers Market
Love this place! Definitely need to go on a Saturday, as that is when they have the most vendors open. They have a wide variety of food/products from meats to honey to floral arrangement. Have met some very friendly vendors here. Love supporting local and getting fresh food!
Really nice farmers market. Easy entrance (close to 77) Plentiful parking. There is an atm and plenty of restrooms at the entrance (first building). This is a larger outdoor market with lots of vendors in stalls within open air buildings. Crowded but not bad. Almost all of the stalls have cashier's at the back of the stall. Causes weird lines, but don't really see a better idea. The first building and third building from the right seem to be local farmers with local produce. The second and fourth buildings seemed to have more professional farmers with larger stall areas better selection and more varied selections. Overall very impressed. There is an area with food trucks. Think county fairgrounds styles... snow cones, fried dough, popcorn and donuts. Lines were very short. Also there is an additional barn style building separate from the rest. Mostly flowers and plants. Herbs, decorative succulents and one very nice (but extremely hard to understand gentleman) with HUGE amazing specimen plants. Nothing was marked in his stall with prices or names. Sooo we passed. Overall this was worth the 20 minute drive. One amazing stall had cutting boards made from olive wood. Really pretty and pricey. I thought they were worth the money.
Great place to buy local produce, plants, bouquets, honey, wine, sauces and other items. Love going every week and seeing my favorite vendors! Depending on where you shop it's cheaper than a grocery store and if you like markets then overall it's a great experience. It does tend to be crowded on Saturday but before noon is best time to go to get the best items and more vendors.
Loved seeing multiple vendors and the variety that each had. There was produce of all sorts, a few stands with a variety of foods and drinks for sale, cheeses, local spices and honey and even a few odds and ends vendors (flowers, soaps, bird houses, etc).
I thoroughly enjoy the farmers' market. The variety of fruits & veggies, jellies & sauces, meats & cheeses, plants & flowers is phenomenal. The prices are so good, too! I get all of my produce for $20 or less!
