Providence Produce Markets

I can't always get to a farmers market, so I go here instead to get my locally grown produce in season. The tomatoes are what I crave. I also like the cucumbers and zucchini because they don't have the wax on them. Everything is fresh and reasonably priced. I definitely feel the extra distance I have to drive to get there is worth it.

Stopped to get a fresh watermelon. Despite the fact that watermelons are not usually ripe until later in the summer, ours is amazing. It was sweet and juicy with no imperfections to mention. My family and I will probably go back for another. A little pricier than the Walmart, but you are paying for fresh, quality, local produce... and it is worth it.

Great produce nice people. I always go there when I have time instead of food marts you get better and fresher produce I have never had any complaints and they carry local honey and that right there will be worth the drive.Give them a try you won't be disappointed.

I love it! I am originally from Trinidad and this market really reminded me of going to a market in the Caribbean. The fruit was fresh and you could absolutely smell the freshness. If you think about it when you go to the grocery store and you walk into the fruit and produce section all you smell is Air Condition! Well at this market you smell the fruit which is important to me as you know you are getting the fruit straight from the farmer and that its not fruit that was naturally ripened on the tree. I can't wait to return. My kids who will not eat the fruit from the store will eat the fruit from here so as a result I am sold and will not be buying my fruit or vegetables anywhere else!

The produce I got here were nice. I got cucumbers, corn on the cob, baby red and white potatoes, yellow squash, onion, garlic, and apples. I spent about $22 here and I will use these in 5 vegetarian meals so you really get your bang for your buck.
