The only real challenge is getting out of parking spaces when finished, but that's really not the stores problem. I love going into renfrow. It still has that old time hardware store feeling compared to many others. They have a lot of parts other stores don't have. If they're unsure they're willing to find out. If they don't have it in stock, but it's something they carry, they will order it. They seem very knowledgeable in a lot of things. So, I felt comfortable getting parts I wasn't sure about at first.

This place is like a step back in time. From the floor-to-ceiling jars filled with vegetable seeds, to the old cast iron stove used on cold days, to the aisles teeming with tools, and every kind of nut, bolt or screw you could muster up, Renfrow Hardware is the spot to explore the next time you are in Matthews, NC. The vibe is old school, but the folks at Renfrow have the latest and greatest in the arena of hardware. Their customer service is the best, as they want their customers to succeed in whatever project they may be working on. Even if you're not a tool person, this place is worth a visit. You'll feel right at home.

Love this place. Been coming for years! They have ducks, eggs, and in March they sell Praying Mantis eggs and live ladybugs. It's a family tradition since we moved here in 04'! Everyone is uber nice and helpful, they are one of the reasons why we just love our LITTLE town and always support the local businesses!

Great old fashioned hardware store. They have anything you need and a lot of items you don't know you need. Some items tend to be pricey.
