Awesome experience shopping at this brand new house plant shop. Plants were all beautiful, and the selection was not only good but also pretty unique. Barry, the owner, is super knowledgable and extraordinarily friendly. It's a small, independently owned shop where you will be well taken care of.

Fabulous plant boutique with a very cool, friendly & knowledgeable owner who was happy to answer any questions and help recommend care tips. Nice collection of plants to choose from and chill atmosphere with a nice spread of other items to purchase (candles, high quality soil, potters, etc). Highly recommend!

I was looking for plants for my apartment, and was delightfully surprised to find this shop locally in a beautiful historic house. The small shop is adorable and has a wide variety of plants, and Barry was extremely knowledgeable and helpful as I picked out some plants that would work best for my apartments lighting. I will definitely be back for more plants, gifts for friends, and help with plant care! Pro-tip: theres a parking lot behind the building, and the shop is on the second floor.

Ive had an amazing experience every time I visited Shades of Moss. Barry Greene, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable about all of his plants and their needs. The environment is nice, chill vibe and very welcoming. Not only is Barry a plant person but also a people person as he personally walked me through the re-potting process for my new Haworthia plant. Excited to return for more! Also being the photography nerd I am, theres a separate room for photo shoots with a nice floral green backdrop which I found to be awesome as well!

I now have a favorite Plant shop! I was referred to Shades of Moss by a few friends when I was looking for a florist in the area. I reached out and spoke with the owner, Barry, and told him I was looking for a plant as a condolence gift for a neighbor whose mother passed of COVID-19. He dressed up a beautiful snake plant in a locally handmade planter pot and he even added crushed mother of pearl shells to the top of the soil to give it an added touch. He sent me a picture of what he arranged and when I visited his shop to pick it up the following day, I left with a wealth of knowledge of various indoor plants and even a new plant baby - a Dumb Cane - that looks gorgeous on my mantel in our living room. No where else could you get this level of attention and education in a nursery or plant shop. He will be my first stop for all of my indoor plant needs and I are already recommended him to family and friends.
