The Pauline Tea-Bar Apothecary
- Open Now
I recently had the opportunity to visit this super cute spot as part of a promotional event. If you are a tea fan, you definitely want to find time to go here. The decor is warm and inviting, and makes you want to stay awhile. The tea and snacks were very good. Although I arrived close to closing, I definitely plan to return again soon to get the full experience.
This is a great place to meet old friends and new. Sherry provides a sacred and calm place for all people to enjoy. I have never been a tea drinker, but she sold me. I am there every Saturday because of the customer service and conversation. The mood is on chill and the atmosphere is welcoming. I saw a post from a group that tried to host a party and take over the spot. I was there, they were so wrong and did not understand the assignment. Sherry you keep doing what you do. Selah and Amen.
Anytime is tea time in my book ! This place is so cute & right up my alley . This place is a whole vibe , & in my case a whole vibe outside . I opted to sit outside on the cute patio set since its a nice day. They were very informative about explaining the different teas & what they were good for . I chose the flower power tea . I had the whole experience with the ceramic tea set and instead of crumpets & pastries I had some sort of sweet potato bread that was insanely good . Something so small packed a lot of flavor & punch . Do note its a small prayers room that I absolutely love . Ill definitely be visiting this tea bar often .
My first experience here was terrible. I did not feel welcome, nor did my party. The woman who spoke to us was very condescending. She made us feel as though we were "less than", which came as a shock since we were trying to support a black owned business. It may be black owned but it felt like "white only" was preferred. I'm not a tea connoisseur, but of all the teas I sampled not one was good. They also took 20 minutes to bring a bottle a water and we had to repeatedly ask them to restock the sugar. I definitely would not recommend this establishment.
Came in today for my sisters birthday party which was a small gathering. The owner was very condescending and made us feel like we didnt belong there. I really wanted to support a black owned business but WILL NOT BE BACK TO THIS LOCATION.
