Booked a traditional sew in at 12:30 on 5/16. About an hour before my appointment, I get a call saying my stylist is running behind and asking that I move my appointment to 1:00. No problem, I arrive at 1:00. My stylist is still running late and she doesnt see me until 1:30. Throughout the time of her doing my hair, shes on the phone and talking to the other stylists about how shes so hungover from last night. Unprofessional, but I try to ignore it. She completes the style and from what I can see when I leave, I think she does a good job. Despite the unprofessionalism, I still tip her 20%. When I get home I see how badly she actually did. There are bald spots with the net cap showing where she just didnt sew a track on. I asked her to trim my hair a couple inches (it was almost butt length) and she unevenly cuts it about 6 inches shorter. The cut is not even straight. When I informed Trap Beauty Bar about all of this and asked for a partial refund, they only offered for me to come back to have the style fixed and a discount on my next service. Why would I go back to a place that messed up this badly?

1 Star I booked an appointment with Dominique at Trap Beauty Bar for 3:00 PM and received a confirmation. The day of the appointment, it was changed to 4:00 PM. I arrived at the salon at approximately 3:45 PM and waited in the lobby until 5:22 PM before finally leaving. I had already spoken with the salon beforehand and adjusted my schedule based on the change. I understand that delays can happen, but waiting over an hour and a half without having my appointment completed was frustrating and felt disrespectful of my time. I was prepared to spend $120$135 on services and was hoping to find a stylist I could return to regularly. Unfortunately, due to the scheduling issues and the amount of time I spent waiting, I left disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere. I hope future clients receive clearer communication and more realistic appointment scheduling.

My experience at this shop was really a great one. Went for the March Madness and got a pedi! Yanna was amazing, conversation was good my feet feel so good and my polish PERFECT! Love to see black doing what they love. Will go back

Honestly I would give this experience ZERO stars if I could. This was my first visit and it will more than likely be my last. I made my appointments for a full set and a basic pedicure. A few hours before my scheduled appointments I got an email (luckily I was able to see it) that my pedi had moved up an hour, which at first didnt work for my schedule (the reason I scheduled it for the original time in the first place) but I made it work. Upon my arrival, it took at least 5 minutes for someone to come greet me and check me in. After that the girl who was doing my toes was running behind and when I did get in the chair she had an attitude and her energy was off and she nicked the skin on my big toe. After finishing my pedicure, I had to wait AN HOUR after my scheduled nail appt to get in the chair for my nails. Salo was the ONLY positive from this visit. However I was not pleased at all that nothing was offered for the inconvenience of having to wait an hour after my scheduled appt, having me to cancel what I had planned for the rest of my day. Overall, 0/10 do not recommend experience.

I visited the Trap Beauty Bar and was highly impressed with the skill set of the Esthetician, Lumay. I received the Lamination, wax and tint service. She took her time and did such an amazing job. Price is better than other competitors. I am sold and will continue to see her on an ongoing basis to keep my brows looking fresh. See before and after results below.
