Charlotte Motor Speedway is a top notch race vacation destination where fans can immerse themselves in the heart of NASCAR country. Visitors can attend one-of-a-kind race spectacles such as the Coca-Cola 600, NASCAR All-Star Race and Bank of America 500; take behind-the-scenes speedway and race shop tours; explore the NASCAR Hall of Fame; and drive an 800-horsepower stock car.
Great time st Charlotte motor speedway, went to see the world of outlaws finals. Would recommend for all ages!
the races were great just as expected. what was not expected was the excellent job that the speedway does to see that you have a good time while you are there. thank you to all the workers for the wonderful hospitality. thank you to all the NC state troopers who do a great job with the traffic. a giant thank you to Erica who worked the parking at the bronze area. we parked in bronze 222 and Erica treated us like royalty she is the best.
After a ride through the wonderful Christmas light show, a friend and I dined at the Speedway Club. The shrimp cocktail consisted of six large, fresh shrimp, nicely presented, with a tasty cocktail sauce. We also had the lobster risotto bites, lobster in a cheesy risotto, breaded and fried, which were very good. I had a steak, perfectly grilled and remarkedly tender. My friend had grilled salmon and pronounced it delicious. We were disappointed in the loaded mashed potatoes, which had been kept in a warmer for too long or reheated. They were dry and crumbly. We had to pass on the desserts but they sounded tempting. Our server was a lovely young woman who was very personable and attentive.
Went to the Christmas lights- an hour and a half was waiting in backed up traffic to actually get into the speedway. We saw one exit at the very beginning but otherwise there is no way to get out once you are in line. Our child started throwing up in the car and there was no way to get out of the car line so we had to still go thru. It says faster cars stay left- we couldnt even pass because people were driving down the middle like it was one lane. The whole thing took 2.5 hours on a Sunday night. Completely not worth it and there needs to be ways to get out of it in emergency situations and there just isnt.
I always have a good time here
