CONTEST PERIOD
August 3, 2020 (12:00 a.m. ET) – September 30, 2020 (11:59 p.m. ET)
ELIGIBILITY
The Charlotte’s got a lot #ThanksForWaitingCLT contest is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. The contest is only open to individuals who are legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia. The following individuals are not eligible: employees of the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (and their spouses, parents and children). The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in this Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Charlotte Regional Visitor Authority (Sponsor)’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to this Contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
TO ENTER
During the Contest Period, take the following actions to enter: Submit a completed entry form available on www.charlottesgotalot.com/yourtable or Facebook lead generation form verified from Sponsor page during the contest period.
PERMISSIONS/RESTRICTIONS
Entrant must have permission from any recognizable individuals (or their parent or legal guardian, in the case of minors) who appear in the Submission to use their names and likenesses in the Submission. If requested, entrant must be able to provide such permissions or proof in a form acceptable to Sponsor. Content Restrictions: The Submission must not contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights; The Submission must not contain content created by a third party, such as images or artwork; The Submission must not disparage Sponsor or any other person or party; The Submission must not contain material that is inappropriate, offensive, indecent, obscene, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous; The Submission must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age; and The Submission must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of, or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state where Submission is created.
WINNER DETERMINATION
A panel of qualified judges, determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will select four (4) entrants with the highest-scoring Submissions based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteria”): Story demonstrates the ‘ThanksForWaitingCLT’ theme in a storytelling manner that’s inspirational, uplifting, moving, heartwarming, whimsical, or otherwise creatively evocative. (70%) Story demonstrates key themes of the ‘Your Table Is Ready’ campaign, including commitment to safety of self and others, integrity, connection to the Charlotte community and relevancy to restaurants featured. (30%) In the event of a tie, the entrant whose Submission received the highest score for “story demonstrates the ‘ThanksForWaitingCLT” theme as determined by the qualified judges, in their sole discretion, will be deemed the applicable winner from among the tied entrants. Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than four (4) winners if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Submissions. Sponsor will not disclose judging scores. The winner list will be posted on this page after winner confirmation is complete.
PRIZE
Four (4) winners will receive a gift card/gift certificate valued at $250 to the Charlotte regional area restaurant/dining establishment specified in their contest entry form. Each potential winner will be notified by the Sponsor through the email address used to enter and will need to respond and provide mailing address and date of birth to confirm eligibility and for prize fulfillment purposes within 3 days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent in order to claim the prize. If a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the prize may be awarded to a runner-up, if any, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. For all winners: by accepting the prize package, they are accepting all risks associated. Winners and party members must adhere to any/all safety protocols required or requested by the restaurant/dining establishment, including but not limited to: wearing a mask/face covering, maintaining social distancing, limiting party size. Approximate Winner Notification Dates: August 25, 2020; September 8, 2020; September 22, 2020; October 6, 2020.
Each entrant irrevocably grants the Sponsor and its promotional agency the unconditional and perpetual right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, exhibit and/or otherwise use or reuse (without limitation as to when or to the number of times uses) the photo, on an exclusive basis without compensation or approval. The winner's name and/or statements regarding their participation in the contest may be used in media releases or statements without additional compensation. Entrant waives intellectual property rights, privacy/publicity rights or other legal or moral rights that might preclude the Sponsor’s use of any element of the entry.
Entrant agrees to indemnify and hold the Sponsor and its promotional agency (the "Indemnitees") harmless from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Indemnities due to or arising out of the use of the entrant's entry.
By receipt of any prize, each winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, Twitter, Inc., Instagram LLC, Facebook, Inc., and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, including any related travel. 11. Publicity: Acceptance of any prize shall constitute and signify each winner’s agreement and consent that Sponsor and its designees may use the winner’s name, city, state or province, likeness, photo, including winner’s Social Account profile photo, Submission, and/or prize information in connection with the Contest for promotional, advertising or other purposes, worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, without limitation and without further payment, notification, permission or other consideration, except where prohibited by law.
TERMINATION/SUSPENSIONS/MODIFICATIONS OF CONTEST
If for any reason this sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, health pandemic, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, fulfillment or proper conduct of the contest, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to terminate, modify or suspend the contest and to select the winner by conducting a random drawing from those eligible entries received up to the termination/suspension date.
The Sponsor may also disqualify or prohibit an entrant from participating in the contest or winning a prize in this or any other promotion conducted, at its sole discretion, if it determines that said entrant has violated the official rules or has threatened or is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the contest by cheating, hacking, deception or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick-entry programs), or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants.
The Sponsor reserves the right to make changes in these rules. Any such changes will become effective upon notice via online posting on this page.
CONTEST CONDITIONS
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of Sponsor and to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the contest or these official rules. By entering, winners and entrants also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless contest entities (Sponsor or participating partners) and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives, from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from a) acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any contest related activity or participation in this contest, b) any malfunction or other problem with the contest entry sites, c) any error in the collection or retention of entry information, or d) any typographical or other error in the printing, offering or announcement of any prize.
