Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen - Southpark
I'm in the minority here it seems but I'm just not a huge fan of the Roosters menu. The south park location is nice in terms of ambiance. Service has always been good. But I have had the chicken in the past in addition to a few of the other appetizers and entrees and by far my favorite thing is the french onion soup. Otherwise I'd say the menu leaves me unimpressed. But it is a nice ambiance with a decent variety on the menu...
Service was 4* but the food was 1-2*... Fries and Mac and cheese came out overcooked(black crusted top)... We go another order of fries that were better, but didn't want to complain anymore about the Mac and cheese after the 3 cheese appetizer wasn't appealing at all. My girlfriend ordered her steak medium and it came out dripping with blood... She said her outback steak was better and cooked to her liking last week @half the price
Exilent group dinner! The food and wine were great! Desert too! We had a large group, including two young kids, and the service was great. Good selection of wine. A bit pricey, but worth it. We had appraisers, main course with sides, wine, and desert. Some of the sides are large enough to share. Get two sides for three people to share. My meal came with a side.
5 stars for the service 0 Stars for the kitchen and food at both locations in Charlotte. Brisket burger ordered med well... That's not mw. Pizza ... Not pizza that's a flatbread app at most... No coverage at all on the toppings... Boo. Also tried to eat at the uptown location a couple of days ago... After 50 minutes we walked out because couldn't get a brisket burger and pasta gnocchi in that length of time. We've tried this chain twice this week. No more, never again.
Nice atmosphere, food was good. The service was a little on the slower side but not enough to complain about as they were very courteous and attentive when around.
