AfroPop! Nation creates experiences celebrating the rich culture of the African Diaspora through music, dance, art, vendors and african drumming in the US. Welcome to "The Bantu Experience"!
This is the second annual "special edition" AfroPop! Charlotte series that highlights elements we explore monthly with in deeper detail. The Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture uniquely allows us to elevate an already amazing experience to new heights! Here are a few activities going on through the evening:
- African Pop-Up shop from 7pm - 1am featuring 15 amazing vendors.
- Various pop-up fashion shows during the shopping experience.
- Pop-up artist activations featuring local & upcoming artist.
- African Dance & Drumming classes.
- SocaFIT USA Live caribbean dance experience ft. Instructor Keisha Bridgeman.
- Unique art & craft class for kids earlier in the evening.
- After-party (9:30pm - 1:00am) featuring sound design by The Dynamic DJ Kato + DJ Steel Wheel on the rooftop patio overlooking the center city!
