A Cultural Collaboration between La Casa de la Cultura & the Harvey B. Gantt Center. In partnership with La Casa de la Cultura, Cultural Connections: Honoring Afrodescendant Women is a collaborative cultural program presented by La Casa de la Cultura and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture. The event honors the history, resilience, voices, and cultural legacy of women of African descent, creating a participatory, intergenerational space to honor ancestral contributions while fostering cultural pride, dialogue, and connection across Charlotte's communities. The program features an educational panel, live performances, and a dedicated children's area with drop-in activities, alongside music, dance, and storytelling that celebrate community connection and cultural heritage.
