ABOUT THIS EVENT Two experiences, one exciting program. Enter the world of the Callaloo Kids (pronounced KAH-LAH-LOO) – Winston, Marisol and Zoe in a magical performance workshop and interactive book reading that explore puppetry and improvisation theater. The creators of the Callaloo Kids children’s book series, Marjuan Canady (writer) and Nabeeh Bilal (illustrator), will lead two action-packed sessions based on the final book in the Callaloo Kids trilogy, Callaloo: The Trickster and the Magic Quilt, which takes readers on a journey from the Gullah Sea Islands to the imaginary island of Sankofaland.
