The first annual Waverly block party will take place Saturday, June 23. The two-part event will feature fun for all ages, so come by and stay all day! From 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. along Waverly Walk from PetPeople to The Terrace, there will be kids’ crafts, a video game truck, bounce house, DJ and fun with the Waverly merchants. Stop by the Discovery Place Science T-Rex Zone to meet T-Rex, get temporary tattoos and coloring sheets and go on a fossil dig activity in honor of the Tyrannosaurs - Meet the Family exhibit running at Discovery Place Science through September 3. From 6 - 9 p.m., enjoy live music at The Terrace by The Catalinas and shag dancing. The event is rain or shine, and leashed pets are always welcome at Waverly, located at the intersection of Providence and Ardrey Kell roads.
