Five tenor saxophone players walk into a room… A diverse array of five renowned tenor saxophonists from the Charlotte region and beyond, come together for an explosive and unprecedented three-day celebration of tenor saxophone masters at THE JAZZ ROOM, brought to you by The Jazz Arts Initiative. Saxophone is considered an essential to jazz. This evening, we will be sure to cover many of the legends that made it iconic, such as Lester Young, Sonny Rollins, and North Carolina born great John Coltrane. Show times include 6:00 and 8:15 Thursday, 6:00 and 8:15 Thursday, and 7:00 and 9:15 Saturday. $14 in advance. |
