Explore the history of Southern foodways through the lens of the recipes that survived the test of time. Hear how the evolution of recipes and cookbooks told the stories of women who authored them. Joanne Joy is Director of Digital Communications is Davidson College and teaches Southern Studies at UNC Charlotte. She writes about the intersection between food and culture and how our foodways influence identity. She's currently working on a project to document and preserve recipes in North Carolina.
