This was my second annual Christmas Lights event at Daniel Stowe. It felt like a whole new experience this year. The lights seemed brighter and more spectacular. The water fountains had beautiful displays. The greenhouse was stunning! We really enjoyed the 22 Street Kitchen food truck for the second year in a row. The Strawberry Cheesecake funnel cake at S&K Funnel Cakes was amazing. Even the hot chocolate at the drink bar by the food trucks was top notch! We will definitely be back next year!
It's a big garden with different types of trees and flowers. They had a few different fountains, a pound, shelter, and a lot of benches where you could sit and enjoy this beauty. I love orchid orangery. It's a different building where you can see different types of orchids and waterfall there. It's a nice place to visit with family or with your partner. And also you can have a wedding ceremony there. I wish they could work longer than till 4 pm, cause in the evening it might be wonderful to be there and enjoy the nature
Lovely Christmas lights, a pretty easy walk. Lots of great photo opportunities, hot drinks, fireplaces, s'mores kits for sale, and food trucks on site. Staff was kind and helpful, facilities were clean. Only complaint was the need for walk way lighting, when making our way to the food truck and drink area the walking path was not very well lit at all creating a potential trip hazard, I'm young and had to pull out my phone flashlight to feel comfortable. Other wise it was a beautiful experience!
This was a very lovely facility. The entrance was beautiful and it looked like there were classes one could sign up for (people were doing a painting class when we showed up). The orchids were gorgeous and the butterfly exhibit was a lot of fun. We were expecting larger gardens and variety for the price, however. Still, very beautiful and it was nice to walk around for an hour or so.

Really with five star vision and space, it needs the community and benefactors to step up and love it back to pre-pandemic aspirations. Encroaching development and traffic could derail some of its charms, but those also make more urgent the need for its pastoral embrace. Even on a largely bloomed-out late afternoon in fall, the foliage and design bones of the place were inspiring. The plantings are not as creative and diverse as they once were, and a few sections like the orchid area are either overgrown or filled with too many plants available retail locally and with not enough botanical variety. It may need fresh eyes in leadership to avoid just being a pedestrian park. What's very good and worth several visits now could be even grander.
