I recently moved to Charlotte, I was looking for a way to meet new people and this was the perfect fit. I love the atmosphere and I have made several friends here. I recommend Softball to anyone new in town.
Not very organized with the Soccer league, They enforce the rules which is good, but at the same time they should provide better goals at the purple fields
Special rules for certain teams, poor officiating, (Ponda) Fat Daddy is the worst ever, Sean and Jerry are actually class acts and do care about what they do. Thank you for being fair and unbiased, theres actually people who do care that work for the company, its a shame they ruin it for everyone else. Highly recommend playing softball somewhere else or for a different organization. Used to be good but has gone down hill tremendously. Volleyball through SportsLink is something I recommend.
I've played in a couple leagues with Sportslink and the experience has been decent. However, the last 2 weeks of my soccer league have been riddled with thunderstorms. One would think they would postpone the games for their client's safety, but we were told "play or forfeit". This is absolutely ludicrous. We sat with the on field employees and watched lightening in the area and reviewed the radar, yet management insisted "game on". Sportslink is playing with fire when it comes to their weather protocols for they are seriously flawed. I love having an organization to play sports with friends, but sadly Sportslink has monopolized the hobby. I'd be more than happy to support any other organizations that might want to move into the space.
I've enjoyed several softball leagues, and a lot of volleyball through this group. They've put on several charitable donation tournaments, and make an effort to build a community. They're human, and the officials they hire are also... human (imperfect). Very grateful that as an "adult" I have such easy access to all of the fun stuff I loved doing as a "kid".
