I grew up a fan of Rusty Wallace. And dreamed of being a nascar engine builder for Penske. I even put myself through the Nascar Technical Institute, and mastered the engine courses. I would frequently go over to the Penske shop and fill out a application, only to never hear a word. I even explained I would sweep floors to work here. Horrible experience, and have no intrest in the sport I grew up watching anymore.
A state of the art facility. We were very impressed by this race shop. Go upstairs to the fan walk. Great views of the nascar cars being built and worked on.
Parking is easy and free, easy to find this shop while driving. The walkway over the garage is cool, and you can see some work going on, but no interactive displays. Otherwise it's mostly a gift shop, and the prices are the highest out of all the shops in the area. That being said, it's still a must see.
Wow. Pictures do not do this place justice. A fantastic facility, great access to the shop for the public, and one of the best gift shops I've ever been to. The staff greeted us at the door and told us where everything was, and when we were checking out, the lady at the front desk was extremely friendly. I can't wait to make another trip back!
This place is incredible. It's huge you can park all six car haulers inside plus enough room torque on another 50 cars aerosol on top of Italian tile floor crazy
