We went to A Piece of Havana for the first time for an early Saturday dinner. We were looking for something different, away from our neighborhood, The staff was very friendly and helpful, but in spite of ordering when the restaurant was not at all crowded it took thirty minutes to receive our sandwiches. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and my friend ordered a Miami sandwich. After our wait, however, the sandwiches were delicious (and hot). We left shortly after the music began, with a man with a good voice singing. This is a fun place. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was great and the music looked like it was going to be entertaining. We will definitely be back, and very much recommend it.

I really really loved it this was the first time that my sister and I had been there. The Cuban sandwich was good not the best I've had but it was really good the empanadas were amazing. The plantanos were good. But the service was a little off. She needed more personality and checked for our drinks more but other than that it was really really good. We will definitely be back to try something else.

The food and service is too tier! We order and the food came to us so fast also The only small issue is the appetizer, we only got like 3 plantains. The rest of the appetizer plate was empty.

The fish I was served was delicious. The environment was very relaxing. The staff were very curious but the only reason why they don't get five stars is because my waitress messed up my order because she doesn't speak English. However the manager did rectify any issues and I left out happy.

This is a nice restaurant, with good service. I would come back and try different dishes. But sadly, there was almost nothing authentic about this Cuban cuisine. Their ham croquetas were on point, excellent. But the chicken milanesa, the picadillo, and the bistec palomilla plates were kissing Cuban flavor. The rice tasted like the rice you get at a Chinese takeout, and beans were straight out of the can, and the steak was was not not the right type of cut. Palomilla is tender and soft with very little grizzle, this steak was all grizzle and hard as leather, not to mention, it just did not have the right flavor. And the Cuban coffee was completely off. It tasted as though they ran Cuban coffee grounds through and American drip coffee maker. It was just completely off. The chicken milanesa was completely charred, and the cheese wasnt even melted. Its a shame because the place is very clean and has a terrific ambiance. The bar looks like it can whip up some great cocktails, so I will give it another chance and try something else when we return. I hope they improve their cooking because I would like to give them a better review next time.
