Ive lived in Charlotte for 5 years, and Ive had decent pizza! But its hard to come across wood fire pizza. My boyfriend loves wood fire and I thought hey, lets give them a try! This is what we got pretty self explanatory. BURT TO A CRISP, HARD AS A ROCK! NEVER AGAIN! :( We couldnt even scrape the bottom of it off to eat it! :(((((((

Had the chance to stop by King of Fire Pizza in Charlotte today to check out just one of what my good friend Siler Chapman has built. Man this place is legit. Killer crust, great flavor, and some really creative pies. The pickle situation on that one pizza shouldnt work but somehow it absolutely does. The space is awesome too, great vibe, packed with people, and you can tell they care about what theyre putting out. Also shoutout to the girl working the register today, she was an awesome host right when we walked in. Proud of you brother. What youve built is special. If youre ever anywhere near CLT, do yourself a favor and go check out King of Fire.

We were trying to go to the sandwich place next door but luckily it was closed or we wouldnt have found this great pizza. Wife and I got a small Hawaiian and small New Yorker pizza. Absolutely outstanding pizza if you enjoy a very crispy thin crust like we do. Leftovers taste just as good the next day just losses the crunch. Definitely looking forward to next trip to the area.

I was in town for business, and staying at the Hyatt Place Uptown Charlotte and was craving pizza after a long day. I found King of Fire Pizza online, but it was close to closing time. Since I'm a huge pizza lover, I decided to call anywayand I'm so glad I did! Evan answered the phone, and told me they were running low on dough but said he would save enough for my order if I could get there quickly. He took my order over the phone, asked my name, and was incredibly pleasant and accommodating from the very beginning. It was only about a five-minute walk from my hotel. When I arrived and introduced myself, Evan greeted me and we ended up having one of the best conversations I've had with a business owner. He even showed me the award they received in Italy recognizing them for having some of the best pizza. One of the employees brought my pizza out to my table very quickly, and it was made exactly the way I requested. The pizza was absolutely phenomenal! Honestly, words don't do it justice, it was THAT good. What stood out just as much as the food was the customer service. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and Evan genuinely seemed to love what he does. Exceptional customer service, amazing pizza, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever find myself back in Charlotte, King of Fire Pizza will be my very first stop. Huge thanks to Evan and the entire team for making my night!

4.5 stars I had such a great experience at King of Fire. I originally had my eye on the Hardy Pickle pizza (which sounded amazing), but it included breaded chicken, so I built my own gluten-free version instead: bacon, dill pickles, mozzarella, cheddar, grilled chicken, no sauce, and a garlic dill ranch drizzle on a gluten-free crust. Firstmajor points for allowing me to clearly mark GLUTEN FREE CRUST - ALLERGY when ordering online. That level of transparency gave me confidence ordering as someone with a gluten allergy. And wow the pizza was delicious. The flavors were so good together, and the garlic dill ranch drizzle made it. I ate half for lunch and happily saved the other half for dinner. For about $20, it felt like a great value too. My only minor feedback is around pickup instructions. The pickup text sent when my order was ready directed me to the register, so I waited in that line about 10 minutes for pickup, only to learn from a very kind employee that pickup orders should go directly to the window. Easy fix: update the pickup text to say pickup at window, not register, especially for out-of-town visitors like me who dont know the system. That small hiccup aside, the food absolutely delivered. Great gluten-free option, creative toppings, and a pizza Id order again in a heartbeat.
