A group of 10 went to Sunday Brunch at Mimosa Grill. I had been there previously and loved the brunch and recommended it to our group for a birthday celebration. I was disappointed this time. There were no warm pastries as before, just a few muffins and the cheese board consisted of a bowl of cubed white cheese. I remember a cheese board with several different cheeses. The mac-n-cheese needed to be refilled and the scrambled eggs were over cooked and inedible. I have to say the service was good, no complaints there, but for a couple to spend over $60 it was a huge disappointment. I felt horrible for recommending the brunch to my friends. Mimosa Grill needs to work on their consistency!
Great service! Great food! Wonderful ambiance for date night or ladies night out! However, if you have a large group and have to sit at the long table in front of the kitchen, you will overhear inappropriate conversations from the cooks all night. This made me give it one less star than I would have because I categorize that under "un-professionalism" or "poor customer service" since the conversation was about 'what they like or dislike about nappy or curly hair' loudly and in front of a table full of women that may or may not be offended by their opinions which they were not there to deliver, but the food they did serve up was great!
Food was excellent, service was excellent. They somehow ran out of parking validation and didnt think that that seemed like a problem, acted like I should just pay for it. I bothered a couple of other staff about it and they said that its normal and I could just tell security what happened and I wouldnt have to pay. But I got to the gate and there was no security and no security answered when I pressed the call button, ended up having to pay on the way out. Probably being petty but that type of thing really annoys me. How the hell do you run out of validation? That shouldnt be my problem, that should be their problem.
Great food, attentive wait staff. A sort of southern spin on an upper scale restaurant. The encrusted trout was awesome. The long booth style seat along the main dining area is not very private or intimate for couples on a date, but it works. Highly recommended. I'll eat there again for sure.
Oh wow!! Where Do We Begin. My experience began when I call to schedule a reservation for Restaurant Week. Greg Luke and Katy we're all super awesome on the phones. Once my party of four arrived it was a truely amazing experience. The service was awesome, thanks Christina for the awesome recommendations. They were spot-on! The food was even more amazing. Definitely proof of culinary skill in the kitchen at this restaurant. We had oysters, Lobster etouffee, heart of rib eye cut steak, the cheesecake was the bomb, everything was amazing. The ambiance was upscale but not uptight. Looking forward to our next girls night out.
