We love coming here. The staff is super friendly. The hot dogs are amazing. My dad and I love a simple chili and slaw dog and they do it awesome. Their waffle fries are amazing. The only suggestion I would have is to make the chili a little "wetter." It feels a bit dry which makes it presentation a bit like dog food. But it is still good. 12/26 visited again with the family. Service was fantastic for a Saturday, food was good the ding ding Chicken sandwich was a bit bland. Way to much peanut butter and 0 other flavor. Fries, fried pickles, and sweet potato fries were awesome. The hot dogs were great as well.
Local Foodi Truly Authentic
I haven't eaten here in years because the food was just not good to me. The bartender makes great margaritas but that is the best I have to offer as a compliment. I have tried numerous things on several occasions and have left with half eaten food and having to go elsewhere because I was so hungry. The fried squash was pooled with so much grease that my daughter and I could not even eat them after a few bites. The trash burger was average, the hot dog I had with the pimento cheese and chili was so bland. In the past I have had the crab hush puppies and tried them again just as bad as they were years ago. I understand this food may taste great to some but whatever they fed Guy I wish I was there on that day to taste. I'm so a foodie and have a palate that loves humble food. I only write reviews because I always want others to try food in my city that is awesome. I do really despise paying for food that is not good and having to go elsewhere to get a meal when I so wanted redemption for this iconic eatery. For some this may be your type of food but for me just average. I will say give it a try for yourself and comment on my review if you had a different experience.
This location is definitely recommended for a small group and a good vibe. If you would just like to sit outside and catch the breeze or eat inside and enjoy the music. Again I say small groups because it's not a big establishment but when it comes to the food I don't think you'll be disappointed. They offer a variety of choices but I also like how diverse they are in offering some vegan options as well. From my experience I can tell you that the shrimp is amazing that's always my number one thing to order when coming to Pinky's. My mother loves the chicken sandwich and we both love the banana pudding. I will definitely recommend this location and I look forward to going back to try more items on the menu. The only thing that isn't A+ is the parking, this location does not have parking right in front of the door but you can park in the back of the building and walk up the side which can be challenging when parking is full. That's the only thing that I'm really not a fan of other than that I hope this review helps and if it does don't forget to leave me a thumbs up!
Everything from the atmosphere to the food was amazing. I got a chicken sandwich which was so much more than a chicken sandwich. It was so juicy that it almost didnt need to be chewed. The hamburger was huge but even though it had all kinds of things on top of the dripping out of it it was very easy to stay together. Our waitress was incredible but they share so we did have multiple waitresses but I really liked everyone there and youve got to try it .
This is a great little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The food is definitely worth every penny. I was there on a Friday night and there was a 30-minute wait, but that's taking into consideration that it was the weekend. Went back during lunch on a week day and it was only about a 5 to 10 minute wait. Definitely a place to remember to go eat at when I'm in Charlotte.
