AfroPop! Nation creates experiences celebrating the rich culture of the African Diaspora through music, dance, art, vendors and african drumming in the US. Welcome to "The Bantu Experience"! This is a special edition of our AfroPop! Charlotte series that highlights elements we touch on monthly with more detail. The Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture uniquely allows us to elevate an already amazing experience to the next level! Here are a few activities going on through the evening: - African Pop-Up shop from 6pm - 1am featuring 20 amazing vendors. - Various pop-up fashion shows during the shopping experience. - Pop-up artist showcase & gallery featuring local artist. - African Dance & Drumming classes each hour. - Kizomba Instruction + Dance by Kizomba Alegria Charlotte Dance ft. DJ Alex (DMV). - Unique art & craft class for kids earlier in the evening. - After-party (9:30pm - 1:30am) featuring sound design by The Dynamic DJ Kato + DJ Steel Wheel on the rooftop patio overlooking the center city!
