South End Social invites you to join us for the first VolunCHEERS South End Clean Up event on Sunday, September 30th! The day will begin with a clean up walk in South End (10am-12pm), followed by a Volunteer Appreciation Event at Pop the Top Craft Beer Shop (12-2pm) with DJ Jimmy Freiberg, over $1k+ of raffle prizes & specials! FUEL Pizza will also be donating pizza for our volunteers to enjoy! Supplies will be provided by Keep Charlotte Beautiful & the FIRST 50 volunteers (21 & over) will receive a custom T-shirt & complimentary drink ticket! Registration is FREE and will begin @ 9:30am at the Bland Street light rail station (Fowler Porch). All volunteers will receive a raffle ticket. The community clean up walk will incorporate collecting trash from streets, sidewalks and other public places in South End. Montford Misfits will be providing a 21"x8" Charlotte Craft Beer Map on Birch Wood for the "Best Event Picture" posted to Social Media with the hashtag #VolunCHEERSclt. Bakersfield East Blvd will also be providing a $100 Gift Card for the "Heaviest Bag Collected". This is a family & pet friendly event and will take place rain or shine. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. In collaboration with Historic South End, Charlotte. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Charlotte Rail Trail.
