Join South End Social for our second VolunCHEERS: South End Clean Up event of the Fall on Sunday, October 27th! Registration is FREE and will be from 9:30-10:15am at the Bland St. Light Rail station (Fowler's Porch). All clean up supplies will be provided by Keep Charlotte Beautiful! The clean up will take place from 10am - 12pm. The FIRST 100 volunteers will receive a FREE custom event drawstring bag and the FIRST 50 volunteers (21 & over) will receive a complimentary drink ticket, courtesy of South End Social, to use at the Volunteer Appreciation Party (12pm - 2pm) hosted by The Union. There will be over $1,500 worth of raffle prizes, local vendors, and giveaways to go along with drink specials and an on-site Food Truck. CLEAN UP CONTESTS!!! Best Halloween Clean Up Costume: sponsored by Charlotte Marriott City Center. WINNER receives a 1-night stay for 2 adults, dinner for 2 at Stoke Charlotte, breakfast for 2, and 24/7 "M Club" Access (An exclusive hotel lounge which includes premium WiFi, as well as complimentary snacks and hors d'oeuvres). Montford Misfits will be donating a Charlotte Craft Beer Map for the "Best Event Picture" posted on Instagram. Bakersfield East Blvd will be donating a $100 Gift Card for the "Heaviest Bag Collected". The Unknown Brewing Company will be donating a $50 gift card for the "Most Unique Item Collected". This is a family AND pet friendly event and will take place rain or shine. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. In collaboration with Historic South End, Charlotte, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Charlotte Rail Trail. |
