Great experience with the kids! There were a lot of people walking around...we just drove through and it was still a great time!! There was not a very long wait for us when we went so we must have had good timing!
For someone new to Charlotte this place gives u the festive holiday vibe. The house are decorated beautifully. Beware of the long traffic lines while visiting. We parked our cars outside and had a stroll within the Christmas town
The most wonderful way to start our Christmas season! Love the people of Mcaddenville, they put their hearts into the lights and decorations. We love walking through and talking to other folks strolling the lanes, visiting with homeowners sitting on porches , and listening to the wonder in children's voices at each new sight. Everyone is happy and the joy of the season lifts us out of the every day and into a place where we care about one another.
A community just outside the metropolis of Charlotte. Most if not all homes within the town limits is decorated for Christmas. The sign says Christmas Town was established in 1881. The majority is white lights and beautiful decorations both new and old. There are 2 entrances and a 3rd for residents only. The long wait is worth the slow drive through the rolling hills. You can also stop and walk the center of town and lake. Music plays from the Baptist church and Town Bell Tower.
Beautiful lights. Traffic wasn't too bad the night we went. Best of all, it's totally free. Could not figure out where to park to see the walking only areas. Might I suggest a few signs to point this out. Otherwise, a great way to spend half an hr.
