Bo’s on NoDa
Neighborhood: NoDa
This beachy bar offers all the tropical drinks and vibes. Whisk away to paradise with a frozen drink in hand as you take your turn at the pool table or on the dart boards. A food menu is coming soon, so for now, you can stay updated on culinary happenings on Instagram.
Fontana di Vino
Neighborhood: SouthPark
Discover a new Italian favorite at this restaurant in SouthPark. Chef Scott Leibfried, formerly of reality show “Hell’s Kitchen,” is behind the menu, drawing inspiration from a long trip to Italy. A second location in Lake Norman is already in the works.
Haraz Coffee House
Neighborhood: Lower South End
After a successful opening in Plaza Midwood, the franchise owners of this Yemeni-style coffee spot have a second Charlotte home. At the LoSo location, you can expect the same menu of pastries, coffee and tea, including the popular pistachio latte and adeni chai.
Harriet’s Hamburgers
Area: Concord
Charlotte’s local burger company has expanded to Concord, where you’ll find the signature burgers, fries, sauces and even cheese curds. Be on the lookout for a fourth and fifth Harriet’s, coming to Plaza Midwood and downtown Matthews soon.
Leluia Hall
Neighborhood: Dilworth
After three years of construction and renovation, this steak-and-surf concept from owners Jamie Brown and Jeff Tonidandel is now open. Expect raw seafood from the Surf Bar, “sugar steaks,” shareable sides and decadent desserts. Reservations are encouraged, but walk-ins are also welcome every evening.
Wayback Burgers
Area: Waxhaw
Local Waxhaw resident Anna Turovskaya has opened the state’s eighth Wayback Burgers, a concept born in Connecticut that quickly spread all over. The menu features freshly made burgers, handmade shakes, chicken tenders, sandwiches and even cheesesteaks.
The Pub at Uptown
Neighborhood: Uptown
The closure of The Pub at Gateway has made way for the same owners’ new venture—a spacious gameday hangout located close to Truist Field and Bank of America Stadium. Get your fill of spinach artichoke dip, chicken wings, fried pickles and handhelds galore. Make note: the full food menu is served until 1:30 a.m.!
Shake Shack
Neighborhood: Southwest Charlotte
When shopping at Charlotte Premium Outlets works up an appetite, head to the newly opened Shake Shack, located next to Saks Off 5th. The signature made-to-order burgers, crinkle fries and thick milkshakes will leave you satisfied every time.
Whataburger
Area: Gastonia
Say hello to North Carolina’s first Whataburger location! This iconic burger joint from Texas has a loyal following for the burgers, patty melt, chicken sandwiches and breakfast options. Stay tuned as the chain plans to open a total of 10 restaurants across North Carolina in the next year.
Two Buck Saloon
Neighborhood: Oakhurst
The fourth iteration of this local dive bar is now open, complete with saloon-style charm and unbeatable drink specials. Make plans to stay awhile as you play some pool, listen to live music on weekends or sit back and relax on the patio.
