From Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the rich cultural history of the Hispanic community. Immerse yourself in Charlotte’s vibrant Hispanic community at these events.

Charlotte Knights Hispanic Heritage Night
When: Sept. 16
Where: Uptown
Enjoy an evening at the ballpark during the Charlotte Knights Hispanic Heritage Night at Truist Field. The Knights transform into the Caballeros for this game against the Durham Bulls.
35th Latin American Festival
When: Sept. 20
Where: Ballantyne
This family-friendly event at Ballantyne’s Backyard features free activities for kids, cultural displays highlighting various Latin countries, and music and dance performances such as Puerto Rican Power on the main stage.
Charlotte FC Por La Cultura Night
When: Sept. 27
Where: Uptown
Charlotte FC honors Hispanic Heritage Month during the match against CF Montréal with a Por La Cultura theme night. Previous Por La Cultura nights included a pre-match party with a photo booth, arts and crafts stations and DJ.
Tortilla-Making Workshop
When: Sept. 29
Where: Uptown
Charlotte Mecklenburg Library invites teens ages 12-18 to a free tortilla-making workshop at ImaginOn. Learn to make flour tortillas from scratch and hear the traditions behind this staple of Hispanic cuisine.
Mint 2 Move Cultural Dance Night
When: Oct. 3
Where: Uptown
Get your dancing shoes on for lessons with Rumbao Latin Dance Company. This Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at the Mint Museum Uptown also features cultural vendors, live painters and more.

Hola Charlotte Festival
When: Oct. 4
Where: Uptown
Charlotte’s largest Hispanic heritage celebration showcases the diversity and range of Latin American cultures through live music, dance performances and more on Tryon Street. This year’s festival includes a performance by singer Elvis Crespo.
Latin Night
When: Oct. 11
Where: Camp North End
Camp North End closes out the final weekend of Hispanic Heritage Month with a Latin night at the Boileryard. Dance to live music and, when you’ve worked up an appetite, head to La Caseta for Latin American street food like tacos and arepas.
