Eddie's on Lake Norman
- Open Now
This was our first visit to Eddie's. We came around 5:30pm on a Sunday-expecting that we'd have a wait, no problem. We ordered a drink and sat at the benches next to the outdoor dining area while we waited. After about 20 minutes, we got our table, which was faster than expected, but then we sat for another 30 minutes without anyone even coming over to offer us a water or take an appetizer order. By that point, we decided to leave. We went right next door to Havana 33 and were sat after only a short wait and were greeted with live music on the patio, and a better view of the lake! I think it all worked out for the best!
Very nice establishment. They have a large patio seating area with a bar! Food was good. Tried the crab meat nachos, wings and steak frites, which were delicious. On the weekends they do have live music so be mindful of you want outdoor seating overall good experience and the staff was very pleasant. Will definitely be back!
Food and service were great. The Shrimp Chowder and French Onion Soup were excellent. Melanie, our server, was so wonderful; great personality and on top of things! Beautiful view of Lake Norman. Next time we'll sit on the patio to enjoy the view even more!
I've tried to get into this place numerous times and finally did on a Friday night. We ordered our drink rounds at about 730 and the waitress never came back. We planned on just ordering some apps and more drinks but after an hour and a half waiting We just asked a new waitress for our check and left. It was nice sitting outside but honestly the cuban place next door has the same view, live music, good drinks and good food so I won't bother trying to get into Eddie's anymore
Very good food, but weve been there for the last time. We had to get a reorder (part our mistake or not clarifying an allergy and part theirs for preparing it blackened instead of grilled), had to pay for the meal again, then waited over 30 minutes for the replacement meal and no one stopped by the table, including for drink refills, during that time. We remained polite and patient, but to us, that is a clear demonstration of their level of customer appreciation. Additional warning if you go, they charge a $1 fee per printed check and 3% for credit card use, so plan ahead accordingly.
