Really enjoyed the pizza a lot! Just wish they were more informative on their Sunday special, we got two pizzas just for this reason, and two glasses of wine, they advertise buy one pizza get one half off and $5 house wine, they in fact were not bogo or $5 glasses of wine. Maybe be a bit more descriptive for your guests. Loved the pizza though!

As a Detroit native, I grew up on deep dish, square-cut pizzaso you can imagine how much Ive missed true Detroit-style down here. Its just not easy to find! After hearing about Emmy Squared Pizza, I finally made the drive from the Lake Norman area to see what the hype was all about, and Im so glad I did. On my first visit, I stopped in just to check things out and had a great conversation with Kayla, the manager, who convinced me this wasnt just pizzait was an experience. That stuck with me, so I came back ready to try it for real. Karen, my server, was fantasticpatient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful as I debated my options. She recommended the Big Hawaiian and the Margherita. I went with the Hawaiian and wow! Flavorful, perfectly balanced, and that signature crispy-edged crust? Absolutely worth the drive. I also tried the Gingerly Yours mocktailso refreshing and well-crafted. A perfect pairing. The only thing missing? My husbandhes a fellow foodie and would have loved this. But dont worry, well be back. I already have my eye on trying more, maybe even checking out their South End location next. Emmy Squared Pizza 4.5 Stars of Why Is This Place Empty When the Pizza Is This Good? Emmy Squared is the Detroitstyle pizza champion nobody talks about probably because theres never anyone inside to talk about it. You walk in expecting a crowd, and instead its just you, the staff, and a pizza thats about to change your whole mood. Empty dining room, full heart. The pizza? Ridiculous. Crispy edges that crunch like theyve been training for the Olympics. Cheese that melts like its trying to flirt with you. Sauce that hits you with that oh okay, I see what were doing today energy. Weve been here multiple times because it never disappoints. Not once. Not even a little. Every visit is like, Yep still fire. And yet the place stays empty. Like Emmy Squared is the best-kept secret in the city and everyone else is out here eating sadnessflavored pizza somewhere else. Service is chill, food comes out fast (because, again its just us in here), and the whole vibe is underrated gem that deserves more love but also kinda nice having it all to ourselves. Final Verdict: (or at least a very strong 4.5) Amazing pizza, zero crowds, maximum satisfaction. Emmy Squared is the introvert of pizza restaurants quiet, unbothered, and secretly elite. Y'all...you do not want to miss out on this place!! We live in Lexington, SC and recently ate this style pizza in Richmond, VA and loved it so much we searched for similar closer to us, and boy did we find it at Emmy Squared!! Sooo delicious! Phen, our server/bartender made the experience even better! What a blessing for this place to have such a special employee. Someone who wants to make sure everyone gets what they want and is happy! He goes above and beyond. And...the atmosphere was the icing on the cake. We will be back!!

Absolutely amazing experience! Ray was awesome and made sure we were taken care of! As someone who cant eat gluten due to allergies, I felt very safe and they were very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this location!
