Both times Ive been here, Ive sat at the kitchen counter and had the pleasure of talking with Peyton, who truly makes the experience memorable. He is so knowledgeable about the menu and is so kind and personable. He clearly works very hard and is excellent at what he does, while also managing to engage the guests and make sure they are enjoying their time. Hes just such a gem. I think Ill forever have to sit at the counter when I visit!

The bartender can definitely use some work, but regardless of his mixing skills, I still gave 5 stars because the food was THAT GOOD! The brick chicken was moist, well seasoned and juicy, the pimento grits was the right balance of salty and cheesy. The Mac n cheese, the steak, the oysters, everything was fantastic. We took our family out for the night and everyone's entree was delicious and the service was great. We will definitely be returning.

Great atmosphere-love the design of the restaurant ( didnt feel over crowded, even with the restaurant being full). They offer great distance between tables. Customer service was fabulous , very professional and friendly. Food was amazing-perfect serving size with the perfect amount of seasoning. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will be coming back very soon.

Been here 4-5 times. The food has been great each time. The duck and dumplings is as instant order for us. I had the pork shank entree this time and it didnt require a knife because it was so tender. Everyone in my group who had mixed drinks them. The staff is very nice as well. Nat was our server and she did a great job

We did the homegrown series dinner it left something to be desired The dishes were not uniform so items that should have been on some weren't on others. The proteins were highly inconsistent, the lady next to me got a quarter of the flounder I received and I got about a bite and a half of viable steak. It was clear there were some consistency/quality oversights The overall comments from our table were: Inconsistent portions and ingredients Lack of some of the items listed as key items to the dishes (some of us got no carrot or beet on dish 1, no ramp butter on dish 2, and shy of the chimi no ramps at all on dish 3) The meats were not portion controlled The seating was rather snug for the number of guests this event was set to accommodate This was their first annual dinner so I am sure there are kinks to be worked out. Although it seemed as even the servers weren't informed properly as this was a prepaid function yet a number of checks came out with that $85 charge (it was promptly fixed)
