As someone from the Philly area, who has eaten at the original Lee's many times growing up, this is exactly the way it's done. If you're looking for a true Philly cheesesteak in the South Charlotte area, this is it. I have no reason to move back now. Everything tasted amazing, cooked perfectly, and brought out in a timely manner. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We will be frequenting this location in the future and I hope to see some Eagles games on Sundays. Great job.

I've been looking forward to making the drive out to Lee's for quite some time now. Since I live on the other side of Charlotte, my drive time was 30 minutes +, each way. But...the trip was definitely worth the time involved. I'm from Philly and grew up eating the greatest Cheesesteaks served anywhere in this great country of ours. And yes, Lee's is extremely well known in Philly, just as Pat's and Geno's are in South Philly. Everyone in Philly has their own favorite haunt. Whether it's at the transit center in Broad & Olney, Kensington, NE Philly, N Philly, or South Philly, we have a Cheesesteak to please every palate and then some. The bread and the meat have to be on point and be the star of the show. And Lee's were most assuredly in the 10 ring. The meat was perfectly seasoned, and the bread held it all together, with a flavorful goodness. I tried both the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak, as well as the Philly Cheesesteak. Both Whiz wit (cheese whiz and onions) and added mushrooms on my Chicken Cheesesteak. Both of the sandwiches were loaded with meat and flavor. Everything is handicap accessible, and plenty of seating is available outdoors as well. Beer and wine are coming soon. Plenty of TVs for the coming NFL season and the EAGLES decor is unobtrusive yet prominent. A very pleasant and knowledgeable woman named Sandy was working the counter during my visit, and that's why I know so much about the multiple vegetarian options. A gentleman came in while I was there, and she explained to him in detail the plethora of vegetarian options that were available on the menu. Treat yourself and take the drive. You won't be disappointed. If you took the time to read this review, please take a 1/2 second and click like. Thank you.

If you like this restaurant you need to check out the Lake Wylie location, way more value there. I can't believe a 9 inch meatball parmigiana is $14.25, what a ripoff! I can get it at the Lake Wylie location for $9. And the other location offers a more authentic Lees experience. Not sure why this location thinks they can charge this much for a sandwich (my total meal was $22). Not to mention it has the wrong cheese on it. My cheese bites were overcooked as well. This is probably why I was the only patron at noon on a week day. Yall need to try to model the Lake Wylie location more. Oh, and no potato salad? Lame!

Had such high hope for this place! Ordered an 18 Lees special. It took 25 minutes to get the sandwich and the place was empty. As they were bagging the sandwich, half fell out on the floor. The counter girl went to the window and asked for it to be re-wrapped since it fell on the floor. The kitchen staff looked at her like she has 3 heads. Got it home and found my $18 sandwich is a bread sandwich. Was supposed to have 4 different meats on it, it only had three. Each type of meat was cut laser thin and there is only one layer of each kind of meat. On a half of the sandwich that meant 3 half slices of salami, three half slices of bologna and 2 slices of ham. One of the salamis was missing entirely. They put the dressing in the middle of the sandwich instead of the bread so it drips out instead of absorbing. Total disappointment!
