Royal African Cuisine

The absolute best food ever! I haven't had meat in 5 years bc I don't trust it. Today I devoured goat, chicken, and, beef. The ginger beer is sweet and spicy. The plantains are phenomenal.

I had several different orders from Royal African Cuisine and I got to say, the food was great. I ordered fufu, banku, okra soup, palmnut soup, waakey. I got to say is it was all great! The atmosphere was nice! Definitely go and check them out.

If you want to get out of your comfort zone and feel adventurous with food then this is your place. We wanted to try something different and my daughter suggested African food and what a surprise. I had a combo meal called Waakye, it had rice beans, fried plantains with boiled eggs, spaghetti and a sauce called shito, which by the way was delicious, it also came with fried chicken and a red sauce that had a hint of spiciness that the more you are it the more it intensifies but not too bad. On a scale from 1-10 it's probably a solid 6 so it is tolerable but gives the dish an extra depth. The chicken was cooked/fried to perfection, it was not dry at all. It was really crisp on the outside but super moist on the inside and with the red sauce it was excellent. My wife tried Jollof rice and it was delicious as well. it had yellow rice with fried chicken on a vegetable sauce and came with fried plantains as well. Again, it was not spicy but had a really good flavor. A note to mention, the portions are big, so we had to take about half of our food home, we just couldn't finish it. On a different note, the atmosphere was great, they had some great music playing, some art work on the walls, the bathroom was clean and the people that helped us were really friendly and cordial. If I had a negative it would be the waiting time. We got there at around 630pm, and by the time we left it was 745pm. The place was not too busy inside but I guess they had so many online orders that it took almost 1hr to get our food, we were dining in. But like I said the waitress apologized for the delay and to be honest it was worth the wait. Will definitely recommend this place and will definitely go back.

This is one of my worst experience. This fish is BURNED and not Grill. I started to eat and realized the other side was completely BURNED as you can see on the picture. So I called him, he has the audacity to tell that, this is how a grill fish supposed to look. But seriously though??? Who does that? I will never be back again, just because of the attitude he had. I can understand that sometimes a food will not necessarily come out right but at least have a good attitude.

They gave me warm fanta and the wait was extremely long even though there wasn't many people eating inside. Getting service was slow because the waiter was watching tv. Waited forever (1hr) because the waiter was inattentive and because my order ticket was misprinted. physical menu was dirty and a side of rice was 9 dollars, which is absurd. Food was ok not worth the wait
