Arooji's Wine Room
We stopped by to celebrate a birthday. The ambience, the service, and the food were absolutely outstanding!! We were surprised it wasnt more crowded- probably because we went close to closing time. We ordered the crab cakes, bruschetta, pesto gnocchi and lobster ravioli and ended with the crme brle cheesecake (dessert suggestion was by one of the friendly staff). Each and every item we ordered had been plated and prepared with care and was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was very attentive too. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem!
Cool looking location. They had good wine sections. Unfortunately, the app we wanted they ran out of meatballs for at 7pm on a Saturday. So, we skipped apps. The salad was as really good. The pasta which was a special could have been hotter and took awhile to get. I like to take my time. However, we did not see the waiter very often in between the wait and had to ask for refills. An overall OK visit. No highs or lows.
Inside Scoop Travel
This was our first time at Arooji's Wine room and for a Saturday night it was surprisingly empty but honestly, we didn't mind since it added to the intimate feel which we do enjoy. We ordered a few different appetizers and entrees and compared to other Italian restaurants in the Charlotte area we feel the food underwhelmed, we are not saying that it was not good just giving our honest opinion as compared to other restaurants. The service by the staff was top notch and there was never an empty glass of water, wine or dirty dish on the table. Their attentiveness to every detail should be applauded and this added to our lovely evening at Arooji's.
Delicious food!! The worker bees treated us wonderful. We also had cocktails and appetizers! Yall need to go and enjoy!!
The food was good, My go to Italian dish in a new place is always spaghetti and meatballs...if they can't get that right I'm never going back. The meatballs were obviously house made , they were good. I also sampled the rigatoni bolognese, and the artichoke salad they were good too. The atmosphere was dreary, it was a low energy atmosphere. I wasn't sure who they are trying to cater to...it felt off, which is a shame because the food was as good or better than other Italian restaurants around town. If you want a good meal in a quiet place this is your place.
