Call 704.342.1193 Why you REALLY can't miss Andre Mack (especially at this great price!): Despite having a successful career with Citicorp Investment Services, André Hueston Mack decided to leave his “desk job” to pursue his passion for wine. First, he went to work as a sommelier in San Antonio, Texas. His energy, hard work and passion led to awards such as Best Young Sommelier in America by the highly regarded Chaine des Rotisseurs. Next, he landed a position as sommelier at Thomas Keller’s world-renowned The French Laundry in Yountville, California. The next stop was Head Sommelier at Keller’s famed Per Se in New York City, where he managed a 1800 selection award-winning wine list and consulted with Chef Keller on menu and pairing development regularly. In 2007, Mack founded Maison Noir Wines in Oregon and built it around the unique relationships with luminary growers and winemakers from around the planet. Today, Mack creates wines with those same amazing people and shares it with others. The punk, hip-hop look of the wine labels garners instant attention from wine drinkers, and the uniquely crafted wines do not disappoint. Mack has been featured in Food and Wine, Wine & Spirits Magazine, The New York Times, Women’s Health, Ebony, and Wall Street Journal. Lucky for us, Mack is a zealous wine educator and is hosting a DO-NOT-MISS tasting at The Asbury. We pour Maison Noir Wines regularly at the restaurant (thanks to Josh Villapando's careful curation of our wine list). Make your reservations now!
