Mint Museum Uptown
The Mint Museum is a leading, innovative museum of international art and design committed to engaging and inspiring all members of the global community.
The Mint Museum is the leader in the Charlotte metro area as far as fine arts. The museum and art gallery has a broad variety of pieces from contemporary artists and designers. The selections of sculptures and paintings are from many different artistic styles which makes the overall collection interesting to experience. The staff is very helpful and respectful and the facilities are clean and well maintained. I've been here a couple of times and would likely return at a future date. Also note the museum doesn't take terribly long view (I was able to finish the entire museum with 2 family members in about an hour and a half) since the art collections are currently on 2 floors only.
Great exhibitions, well organized an curated. Silent Streets exhibition pictures the pandemic distancing in such a way that you can feel the different ways of uncertainty that caused in each corner of the world. A very complete selection of contemporary artist. The craft and design gallery was one of my favorites. If you want to appreciate in deep all the galleries I suggest to go early or use the 2 days pass given with the ticket. I strongly recommend it!!
Jesus. Me and Menopause
As my family, and I approached the ticket desk, unfortunately didn't get the name of the woman who greeted us, but she was absolutely amazing! We can't wait until our next vacation to Charlotte, to do it all over again. What awesome experience!
Great museum! Very spacious. You can get discounts if you are a student too. Unlike most art museums, this one has a great collections of crafts and designs stuffs. Some notable paintings as well. It's in the middle of the town so parking may be a tad bit difficult but there are lots of parking buildings within a few blocks.
Really nice exhibitions of women in art and their contributions. My daughter enjoyed. They were preparing themselves for a wedding, still we can appreciate the museum and the good taste of the couple
