I observed the Scholastic Art Winners first. I was very Im impressed with their work, so I took my time. Our youth are amazing beings. I think spent at least an hour just on that particular floor. I really enjoyed each exhibit. I was there from 1-5pm. Make sure you have a meal and are hydrated before you arrive but you can return the next day if you dont see all the beautiful pieces.

This is an amazing place to check out. Has four floors of alternating exhibits with some permanent exhibits. The art at this place is absolutely amazing to check out if you have some time while you're in. Charlotte, North Carolina only takes about 1 to 2 hours to walk through relatively inexpensive for what you get to see a lot of local artists as well as still living artist, which is kind of amazing considering most places have art. That's a couple hundred years old. This place has a lot of new and modern art and a lot of very, very large pieces that are absolutely amazing to witness.

As my family, and I approached the ticket desk, unfortunately didn't get the name of the woman who greeted us, but she was absolutely amazing! We can't wait until our next vacation to Charlotte, to do it all over again. What awesome experience!

Got stuck in Charlotte on a Friday night. I found this place while exploring the city. Cool exhibits and all different forms of art and expression. Multiple floors packed with different types of collections. Definitely a must see if you are in the area. Entry price was reasonable and theres lots of informational placards with each exhibit!

Great museum, lots of art Made in North Carolina. I especially liked the more contemporary work. If you have any doubts, just walk in the front door and take a look at what you can see from the reception area. If you like that, you love the rest !
