Dr. Charles L. Sifford Golf Course at Revolution Park
Fantastic value. It could be the best deal in golf! Super friendly staff and great turf conditions with a pretty large practice area as well. The greens look more rough than they actually are. The surrounding community has tons of charm, and for a 9 hole course there's plenty of allure. Avoid downhill putts for sure.
I just moved to Charlotte from Houston and decided to try this public course out. I didnt make a tee time due to it being a Wednesday at 3PM. However, big mistake. The employee in the club house was very rude. I am not sure if its because I am a female... who looks young. I walked in very professionally dressed in golf attire. The employee called me a beginner because I was questioning if I wanted to wait an hour to be paired up with 2 other golfers. He then proceeded to tell me its a public golf course and its a beautiful day in a rude tone. Little does he know that I had my first set of golf clubs at the age of two and had over 15 offers to play in college. Please dont disrespect women golfers. Will not be returning.
One of my favorite 9 hole courses in Charlotte! The practice facility is amazing and well kept. The course is somewhat tight where the holes are very close to each other but the course is also in very good condition.
This course is awesome! The pro shop staff were very pleasant. The course itself was in great shape. We teed at 9:10 and were done by 11:00 on a Saturday morning. The facilities are nice. Tons of areas to practice chipping and putting and a well-marked driving range. I lost my apple watch and a team member found it in the rough and returned it to the pro shop, which really meant a lot to me. Just a great group of people that work here. We will definitely be back!
Played here 1st time in 1982. Nice redesign of clubhouse. Historic Charlotte course.
