Charlotte Regional Farmers Market
So many wonderful vendors! My favorite is Thoughtful Baking Company in Building B; they have farm fresh sweet & savory items!! My family can't get enough of their Chicken Pot Pies or Shepherd's Pie!! (I like the quiche & banana Pudding pie! ) Definitely check it out. I also love the fresh beautiful flowers and plants I found there. You really can't go wrong visiting Regional!
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PLACE TO BUY FRESH CUT FLOWERS!!! The flowers quality is super and they are long lasting. Of course great selection of fruits and veggies, but also meat, eggs, milk, cheese... You can get hand made soaps and a number of crafts. Wonderful place to get delicious bread and pastries.
The Charlotte farmers market on Yorktown is very large, about 4 buildings. The market has some wonderful local goods. You can find everything you need to cook - veggies, fruits, seafood, grassfed bison, other meats, eggs, cheese, honey, jams, bread and other bake goods plus plants and flowers and crafted goods. It is important to know that this farmers market does not appear to have any self-grown/self-made rules nor any local rules. You can find bananas and coconuts here which are definitely not grown locally. If that type of stuff matters to you, ask the owner and they are usually happy to talk about their growing techniques and where they are located.
This was my first time visiting a farmers market in NC and Im glad I chose this one. This place has all the fresh varieties of goodies one can ask for. The place is huge with multiple local sellers from fresh produce to bakery items to floral arrangements you name it they have it. I left as a happy shopper with a good price deals for the amazing goodies :)
If you want to eat healthy this is the place. Fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy, breads, local honey, fresh made pasta and sauces... anything under the sun. Been coming almost every Saturday for over 20 years. There are also plants and crafts for sale. Local farmers and local distributors. The shelves are full here! Support these local farmers. Prices are great.
