We just purchased our very first kayaks. This place was awesome. Mac (or Max) was extremely helpful in picking out the perfect kayaks for us. Rudy (the GM) was beyond helpful with the pickup. He helped pick out necessary accessories, was extremely knowledgeable and most importantly helped us and gave us a lesson on how to load them onto our roof rack. He was patient and an A+ on the customer service skill! Thanks Rudy!

Overjoyed, informed and confident in all my purchases here! From clothing, to shoes, to my hobie cat sailboatI have always left here more informed, and ecstatic with the customer service. Ill admit that I had crossed over to REI for a couple of years because of the 10% back, however 10% is a small price to pay to be sure Im getting the right equipment from people who actually know what they are talking about and are excited to talk to you about your sports or needs. My favorite associate is Rudy. His dry sense of humor, attention to details and his willingness to stay at work a little late for me today because I was running behind makes me want shout from the rooftops that customer service isnt dead. Thank you Great Outdoor Provision for being exactly who and what you are!

Walker and the gang took care of us. We were in the market for 2 hobie outback. Walker understood our questions and helped us setup the kayaks so we can test them out. They did an excellent job helping us load the kayaks. Overall a great experience! Thanks all!

I agree with others here - this is a nice place. The employees were cordial and helpful. But the pricing on the item I was shopping for was just too far out of line. There is a fair amount of stock in the store, but the brand selection is minimal - just one brand and 2 models in my instance. I wound up finding a more suitable product with better features at the river - for 2/3's of the GO Co. price. I looked at 4 other local stores and the situation was similar; to cover the costs of the bricks & mortar, the stores stock only 1 or 2 high-end brands and apply healthy markups. "High-end" in this context means "recognized name" - which is not always synonymous with quality but does usually correlate with above-average prices. Long-short, the GO Co. is worth a look, but if you have to have it "right now" you will likely experience a bit of a surcharge for that.

This is an excellent shop with lots of great outdoor gear. They carry all the best brands, in terms of gear. The staff is always knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful! I primarily checked out the camping gear, but they seemed to have everything outdoors related, from climbing to kayaking. It is well worth the drive to check out this store!
