This general store is the real deal for hardware, plants, chickens, classes, expert advice you name it in the heart of downtown historic Matthews and the farm is just a couple of miles away. It's worth a trip for the hardwood floors, cold bottled soda in the cooler and gardening advice and hospitality. If you go on Saturday morning, the community farmers market is just next door.

The vibe is old school, but the folks at Renfrow have the latest and greatest in the arena of hardware. Their customer service is the best, as they want their customers to succeed in whatever project they may be working on. Even if you're not a tool person, this place is worth a visit. You'll feel right at home.
